It’s almost Christmas…16.9.09
…so, we thought, why not give a bottle of champagne to anyone and everyone who books 18 Hewett Street for the first time!
…so, we thought, why not give a bottle of champagne to anyone and everyone who books 18 Hewett Street for the first time!
The digital communications agency Diffiniti, headed up by new MD Ben Wood, held their Company Away Day at 18 Hewett Street. A new, rather large, perspex board went up in our workshop the night before, dead straight and everything, it was just the holes in the wall that were a little too big. Anyway, with a bit of creative DIYing, it is still dead straight and you can now do things like write, or even draw very impressive, very clever diagrams on it…which is quite useful. The next day the building was buzzing with lots of people talking, thinking, creating – result: “18 Hewett Street is a cool yet functional space that seamlessly incorporates everything you need for a successful offsite meeting/seminar/event/launch” says Steve Taylor from Carat, who ran the day with Ben. We say – let’s have lots more days like that!
…about giving their opinions via mobile-video and it made us feel rather good about ourselves. It’s new, yes and maybe the first time you do a video you feel a little self-conscious, but after one or two you can’t get enough. People pull over in their cars to answer questions, dash off to the loo (privacy is important to some – intimacy of the confessional as we like to say). The only critisim people had was ‘more questions please’!
They love it because it is super easy and they feel free to give their true opinions, away from the shackles of tick boxes and the hassle of typing. “It’s just like talking to a friend, telling them what you think about something” Rosalind, 62.
Russell Davies ‘ quote on the HHB home page isn’t just there ’cause we like the bloke.
We always thought it would be, but now we know. It’s true.
Always a last minute phone call, but, as luck would have it, one of the wonderful things about The White Room is turnaround times measured in hours, not days.
At lightening speed, Ad Agencies can get the target they are interested in talking to, talking to them about whatever it is they want to know.
In the old days, Vox Pops may have been the only way to liven up a pitch and show potential clients you had done your homework, but now that we have The White Room the boys in Despatch don’t need to do anything! Unlike Vox Pops, the mobile videos you get back with The White Room are real, intimate and true.
Hey, you might even learn something, like an insight…or something.
One of London’s top ad agencies will soon be launching a new blogsite about all things social. The White Room will be providing all the mobile video content. Check back here for more information.
We’ll be at stand number D322. Meet us in person, drink a glass of bubbly and find out more about what we do.

We moved into Number 18 when it was still a factory. Making the miniature people who inhabit the world of architectural models was clearly a messy business. One year later, the dust has gone and we are proud to launch a brand new workshop and focus group space.
If you didn’t get the chance to come to our launch party, give us a call and come and see it for yourself. It’s a good one.

“Sensational” said Mike Hall.
HHB Dialogue was the most popular supplier by a mile according to The Market Insight Forum. Research suppliers can normally expect 10-15 meeting requests from potential clients. However, 60 out of 100 clients said they would like to meet Mike Hall to discuss HHB and The White Room. If you were one of the clients we were unable to meet on the day, get in touch before we do.
